A striking pair of large Chinese yellow glazed porcelain candlesticks. Each piece features a tall, elegantly sculpted crane standing atop a large turtle (bixi), a classic Chinese motif symbolizing longevity and endurance. The crane's head is turned back, and a lotus-shaped candle holder rests on its back. The turtle base is detailed with a textured shell and a dragon-like head. Both pieces are covered in a vibrant, monochromatic yellow glaze.
