A charming Chinese blue and white porcelain covered jar. The jar has a classic baluster shape and is topped with a matching domed lid with a dark blue finial. It is hand-painted in underglaze blue with a dynamic figural scene, featuring a warrior on horseback holding a spear, set amongst stylized swirling clouds and rockwork. The base bears a blue six-character "Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi" (Made in the Qianlong Reign of the Great Qing) seal mark.
