Each goblet features a tall, … Read more An uncommon coordinated set of three signed art-glass goblets by American studio-glass artist Rick Strini. Each goblet features a tall, sculptural silhouette with an iridescent amber and champagne-gold tulip-form bowl, delicate optic ribbing, and a petal-like transition into the elongated stem.

Two goblets are finished with smoky cobalt-blue stems and matching cobalt feet, while the third introduces a complementary pale celadon-green stem and foot. The subtle variation gives the set the character of individually made studio glass while maintaining a cohesive presentation.

Every goblet is individually signed “Strini” beneath the foot, providing direct maker attribution. The signatures, distinctive luster surfaces, expressive color transitions, and hand-formed construction are consistent with Rick Strini’s established studio practice.

Rick Strini began working with glass during the emergence of the American Studio Glass movement in the 1960s. After operating a studio in Santa Cruz, California, for approximately three decades, he relocated to Hawaii and established a Maui glass studio. He is especially associated with richly colored iridescent and luster glass inspired by historic European glassmaking techniques.

Elegant as functional stemware and equally compelling as sculptural objects, this unusual trio would make a striking addition to a collected bar, illuminated glass cabinet, or contemporary dining setting.

The exact arrangement of two cobalt examples with one celadon example is uncommon on the present secondary market. Slight differences in form, coloration, and proportion reflect the individual handblown character of each goblet.
