Exceptional and unusually large Venetian wall mirror dating to the 1950s, measuring an impressive 66" wide by 42" high. Far more substantial in scale than most vintage Venetian mirrors of this type, it has a dramatic architectural presence while retaining the delicacy associated with classic Venetian glasswork.
A large central mirror plate is surrounded by a broad mirrored border with an elegant scalloped silhouette. The border is embellished with finely etched floral motifs and dimensional flower rosettes. Beveled joints between the individual mirrored sections accentuate the construction and catch the light beautifully. Original wood backing remains intact.
A rare opportunity to find this classic Venetian form in such an exceptionally large 66" scale.
