The substantial transparent glass body takes the form of a broad, rounded urn measuring approximately 12 inches across. Its warm amber-to-champagne coloration shifts beautifully with changes in daylight and interior illumination. Pale etched or frosted roses, rosebuds, leaves and connecting stems appear in three naturally asymmetrical floral compositions around the urn, with approximately three to four inches of open amber glass separating each arrangement. These clear intervals preserve the transparency and visual depth of the glass rather than creating a continuous decorative band.

At the center of the urn is a broad decorative lighting column containing the separate base bulb. When illuminated, the column produces a warm internal glow that travels through the amber glass and softly lights the surrounding floral decoration.

A rotary selector provides three lighting presentations: the glass base alone, the primary lamp bulb alone, or both lights together. This unusual dual-lighting feature allows the lamp to function as full room lighting, gentle accent lighting or an atmospheric evening light.

The urn rests upon an elaborate four-footed pedestal measuring approximately 7.5 inches across. The base, collar and sculptural upper neck are presented in deep Venetian bronze with restrained aged-gold highlights across the raised ornament and darker bronze retained within the recesses.

The lamp is crowned by a distinctive B&P cast-brass rose finial. Unlike an ordinary ball finial, this flat, vertically oriented medallion features concentric pierced floral geometry and repeating stylized botanical sections around its perimeter. Its Venetian-bronze coloration coordinates with the lamp’s decorative metalwork.

Completing the composition is a sculptural cream-linen box-pleated empire shade by Aspen Creative. The shade’s deeply formed vertical panels produce a softly architectural, petal-like silhouette. Measuring 18 inches across the bottom, it extends approximately three inches beyond the 12-inch urn on either side, giving the lamp an intentionally grand and properly balanced profile.

The expandable harp has been placed in a lowered position so the shade fully conceals the bulb and socket while overlapping the upper portion of the decorative neck. This creates a visually connected silhouette without an excessively tall or separated neck.
