A stunning, authentic Native American sterling silver brooch/pin handcrafted by the highly collectible Navajo silversmith, Joe Piaso Jr.
This striking Southwestern statement piece features an intricate storytelling design set against a beautifully textured, hand-stamped silver background. The central motif showcases a detailed steer/bull skull alongside a towering desert cactus and stamped geometric petroglyph symbols. The face of the brooch is elegantly accented with three round turquoise cabochons and two gleaming black onyx settings, adding vibrant color and contrast to the brilliant silver work.
The reverse side features a secure pin stem with a rolling safety clasp. It is clearly marked with an applied rectangular silver plaque displaying the artist’s signature script hallmark, "J. Piaso Jr.", alongside his distinctive stylized horizon pictorial stamp and the "STERLING" (.925) purity mark. Measures approximately 2” diameter.
