Antique tin litho, self-framed breweriana advertising sign.
This piece advertises Beverwyck Lager, a now defunct brand of beer produced in Albany from 1878-1972. The sign depicts King Gambrinus, a European culture hero who is commonly known as an icon of beer, brewing, and celebration.
The sign features tin construction and litho printed graphics, an embossed central frame in which Gambrinus is depicted, and a raised lip around the outer edge.
