Rendered in fine matte white bisque porcelain, the Virgin Mary is depicted with her head gently bowed and her hands crossed over her chest. Her stylized veil, elongated fingers, and serene expression reflect the refined sculptural language associated with Boehm’s Mid-Century work.

The underside bears the distinctive turquoise-green cursive “Boehm” studio signature. Dating approximately to the 1950s or 1960s, this substantial 9-inch example is an especially graceful piece of American devotional porcelain.
