Standing 9 inches tall, … Read more An elegant late-19th-century Limoges porcelain chocolate pot by R. Delinières & Cie, dating to approximately 1894–1900. Standing 9 inches tall, the pot has a graceful elongated form embellished with transfer-decorated sprays of blue blueberries and green foliage against luminous white porcelain.

The upper body is particularly distinctive, with molded relief detailing beneath a deeply scalloped rim accented in gold. Extensive gilding continues onto the sculptural, naturalistic handle and culminates in an unusual modeled seashell finial atop the fitted domed lid. The combination of organic modeling, asymmetrical fruit decoration, and generous gilding gives the piece considerable decorative presence while retaining the delicacy associated with late-19th-century Limoges porcelain.

The underside bears both the green “D & Co. / France” factory mark and the red “R. Delinières & Cie / Limoges” decorating mark. This combination is associated with the later period of the Delinières manufactory and supports a date of approximately 1894–1900, shortly before the historic porcelain works transitioned into the Bernardaud era.

A particularly attractive example of late-19th-century French decorative porcelain, equally suited to a collection of antique Limoges or displayed as a sculptural accent in a traditional, French, or collected interior.
