The vase has an elegant elongated silhouette, rising from a rounded bulbous base through a slender neck to a broad, gently flared rim. The translucent emerald-green glass is densely embedded with multicolored glass inclusions in white, blue, yellow, turquoise and reddish tones, creating a rich confetti-like composition. The colored inclusions are concentrated toward the lower body and gradually become more dispersed and elongated as they rise through the vase. Natural variations, small bubbles and subtle irregularities inherent to the hand-blown process give the glass considerable depth and make the appearance of the piece change with light and viewing angle. Gyula Budveszel is a Hungarian glass artist known for individually handcrafted glass works characterized by expressive color and traditional glassblowing techniques. Comparable works by Budveszel are documented on the international market as Hungarian hand-blown glass from the 1990s, with his production associated with Salgótarján, an important center of Hungarian glassmaking. with its vivid emerald ground and exceptionally rich multicolored decoration, the vase has a strong sculptural presence and works equally well as a functional vessel or as a standalone decorative object.
