The stem is turned in sections, alternating reeded cylinders with ring-turned knops along its length and up through the curved neck, ending in a small turned finial at the shade mount. The neck arcs forward in a continuous sweep, allowing the shade to be angled over a chair or reading spot. Base is a substantial turned pine disc, wide enough to anchor the tall profile without a metal weight. The shade is a later scalloped fabric shade in a light oatmeal weave, gathered at the top edge with a twisted cord trim, giving a soft, informal silhouette against the turned wood.
