This exceptional piece is woven entirely of silk, providing a luxurious sheen that elevates the rich Coral color palette. As a product of the late 20th century, this textile falls into the category of vintage area rugs, prized for their distinct aesthetic transition period.

Designed specifically for transitional spaces, the narrow dimensions classify this as a superior hallway runner rug. The field is dominated by a striking, variegated shade of Coral, framed by borders incorporating deep earthy tones and subtle accents. This warm palette provides an inviting anchor for any long corridor or entryway.

The design is characterized by an intricate, labyrinthine central medallion and spandrels, utilizing the classic meander motif. This highly structured approach creates a powerful geometric design that contrasts subtly with the softer silk texture. While the 1980s production date places it outside the classical period, this piece maintains a strong connection to its heritage.
