This vintage French Provincial style bombe chest by Ferguson Copeland features a serpentine wood frame topped with a thick, contoured marble surface. The three deep drawers and bottom carved apron are detailed with hand-painted gilt and silver-tone scrolling vine accents, fitted with antique brass bail handles and decorative keyhole escutcheons, and supported by heavy scrolled feet. The piece is in solid vintage condition with minor surface wear consistent with age and use, and the marble top has no chips or cracks.
Made in North Carolina, circa 1990 - 2000.
