Charles Schneider
A pair of French art deco birds motif wall sconces circa 1925-1935 in nickel on cast bronze or solid brass. They hold Schneider tulip shades in clear frosted molded-pressed glass. This Schneider model "Libellules" (dragonflies) shades is always signed Schneider made in France. Yet the tiny signatures are very vague and look just like unreadable Braille to the naked eye.
The sconces are 9.76 inches (24,8cm) high, 6.89" (17,5cm) deep and the shades have a diameter of 3.94" (10cm). The wall lights are in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the mounts and rewired them. I placed US candelabra base sockets.
