The long neoclassical case is distinguished by its graceful rounded ends, giving this substantial piece an unusually refined and architectural silhouette. Four paneled cabinet doors open to reveal generous adjustable interior shelving, providing excellent storage while preserving the clean, symmetrical lines of the façade. Two drawers above the central doors offer additional storage.
Finely cast brass hardware, delicate fluting and tapered Louis XVI legs provide restrained decorative detail and complement the exceptional movement and depth of the flamed mahogany. The wood has been meticulously restored and finished with a museum-quality traditional French polish, bringing remarkable luminosity and richness to the mahogany while preserving the character of the piece.
