An exceptionally rare, complete matching set of 6 original late-18th-century hand-colored shooting engravings by the celebrated British sporting artist Samuel Howitt (1756-1822). Published in London between 1798 and 1799 during the late Georgian era under King George III. This expanded museum grade collection represents the absolute pinnacle of traditional British country state culture.
Each plate proudly bears the distinct autograph signature inscription "Howitt inv. et f."
(Howitt invenit et fecit), formally verifying that the master artist hand designed and personally etched these copper plates
