This handsome vintage square hardwood tea tray is handcrafted from dark rosewood. The tray surface features stunning multi-toned mother-of-pearl shell inlay depicting colorful birds perched among blooming flowers and rockery. The tray sides are decorated with openwork cutout detailing and dotted shell inlay accents.
The traditional flower-and-bird design symbolizes joy, prosperity and natural beauty. It can be used as a tea serving tray, display tray for small collectibles, or purely as a decorative statement piece for Chinoiserie interiors.
