A fine set of English spiral bed steps (also known as library stair steps), in the Regency style, from the 19th century.
The frame is crafted from a rich, polished mahogany.
Each of the four steps features an inset tan leather tread adorned with decorative gilt-embossed (gold-tooled) borders along the edges.
With a turned vertical support for extra stability when climbing - removable when placed in storage.
The whole structure is supported by distinctive, vertically aligned turned legs.
A beautiful addition to a library, study, office, or bedroom.
