Originally designed in 1973, the Togo … Read more Vintage Togo three-seater sofa designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, France, circa 1970s. Originally designed in 1973, the Togo is one of Michel Ducaroy’s most celebrated designs and an icon of post-war French furniture. Its distinctive low profile is created entirely from different densities of foam, without a traditional rigid frame, resulting in the characteristic pleated silhouette and exceptionally comfortable seating position. This vintage example has been professionally reupholstered in a high-end green velvet by Pierre Frey. The rich, softly textured fabric beautifully emphasizes the deep folds and sculptural shape of the Togo. The foam is preserved and remains in excellent condition, retaining its shape and providing excellent comfort and support. Original Ligne Roset details are still present, including the original manufacturer's fabric underneath and label at the rear. A particularly attractive vintage example combining an original Ligne Roset production with a luxurious contemporary Pierre Frey upholstery.
