The simple construction, rounded wooden legs and woven seat are characteristic of French mid-century vernacular furniture, where traditional craftsmanship and natural materials were combined with restrained, functional forms. The long woven seat is supported by a beautifully patinated wooden frame with additional central legs and stretchers. The combination of the dark wood and warm natural cord gives the bench a particularly attractive, understated appearance. Presented in good vintage condition with visible wear, marks and patina consistent with age and use. The woven cord also shows age-related wear, adding to the authentic character of the piece. A versatile piece that can be used as a hallway bench, bedroom bench or occasional seating. Dimensions: Width: 78 cm Depth: 42 cm Height: 46 cm Seat height: 44 cm See less
