This magnificent ovoid porcelain vase with a narrow neck, 29 cm high, was created by the French ceramist Patrice Lusardi (born in 1946), renowned for his mastery of the crystallized enamel technique. This demanding technique involves firing the enamel at very high temperatures, then significantly slowing the cooling process to allow the zinc in the glaze to reorganize into random crystalline formations, creating a unique, nebulous pattern on each piece.

This vase reveals a range of blues, from luminous turquoise to deep blue, punctuated by star-shaped and sheaf-like crystallizations that unfold on the shoulder of the piece and gradually fade towards the more uniform base. Each piece is the result of a unique and unpredictable firing, making this vase a truly one-of-a-kind, non-reproducible work of art.
