A rare to market vintage fairground / carnival hand painted dart board from the Early - Mid 20th Century. There were two versions of these in use at the time; The first version would have had a number written directly on the colored circles and the second would have had a blown ballon attached to them, with a number hidden inside of it. In both cases the goal was to aim and see which prize was associated with the number your dart landed on. Maybe you'd have won a lollypop or maybe you would have ended up with a giant teddy bear. We wonder if Damien Hirst was inspired by them!...
This piece is extra special in that in includes it's original wooded frame, painted red. Often when the board would have been darted to oblivion, it would be discarded and replaced with a new one.
