A compelling and sculptural studio stoneware vessel combining raw, earthy materiality with an undeniably provocative biomorphic form. Hand-built with substantial weight and presence, the piece features an upright columnar cylinder seamlessly integrated into an organic, pebble-like stone base.
The glaze work exhibits exceptional depth and variation: a rich, dipped dark olive/charcoal rim gives way to a toasted oatmeal midsection with fine crystalline speckling and iron-rust reduction tones near the base, while the rounded lower forms are finished in a smooth, subtle celadon-grey slip.
