Artisan-crafted in France, the mirror has a substantial architectural presence and is designed as both a functional mirror and a decorative statement piece.

The solid wood frame is richly carved with traditional Louis XVI motifs, including ribbon details, floral ornamentation, symmetrical mouldings and refined classical flourishes. The sculptural carving has been professionally refinished in luminous gold leaf, highlighting the depth of the decoration while giving the frame a warm antique-gold appearance.

A particularly distinctive feature is the use of red velvet inset panels within the frame. The velvet has been newly renewed and creates a dramatic contrast against the gilded wood, adding texture, richness and a regal French character.

The clear mirror glass provides excellent reflection and makes the piece suitable for a formal entrance hall, bedroom, dressing room, salon, living room or above a console or mantel.
