This elegant late 20th-century French Louis XVI–style settee combines refined neoclassical design with a rich antique-gold frame and luxurious red upholstery. Artisan-crafted from solid beechwood, the piece offers a compact yet decorative silhouette suitable for bedrooms, dressing rooms, entrance halls or formal living spaces.
The solid beechwood frame features balanced Louis XVI proportions with subtle floral carving, clean architectural lines and symmetrical detailing. It has been professionally refinished in a warm antique-gold tone, emphasizing the carved decoration and giving the settee a luminous, sophisticated appearance.
The upholstery creates an attractive combination of textures. The front of the backrest is finished in deep ruby-red velvet with button tufting, providing visual depth and comfortable support. The reverse is upholstered in smooth coordinating red velvet, allowing the settee to present beautifully when viewed from behind.
The seat is upholstered in an elegant silk-cotton damask fabric with a detailed floral pattern. This decorative textile contrasts beautifully with the velvet and gilded frame while maintaining the classical French character of the piece.
