A vintage Frederick Cooper table lamp featuring three elongated golfers arranged across a stepped base, each captured at a different moment in the swing. Their slender proportions, angular movements, and bronze patina give the composition an expressive, almost Giacometti-like quality. Part lighting, part sculpture.
The Sculptor’s Study Collection
This lamp is part of The Sculptor’s Study, a House of Beautiful Things collection inspired by the imagined workspace of an artist who spends his days turning iron and metal into beautiful forms. Cast bronze. Worked iron. Brass darkened with age. Lighting that tells the stories of golfers caught mid-swing. Each piece was selected for its sculptural presence: unusual enough to stand on its own, but easy enough to live with, even in the most modern of rooms.
About House of Beautiful Things
House of Beautiful Things was born from a simple belief: exceptional design should be accessible.
While furnishing my own home, I discovered that the pieces I was most drawn to, beautifully made, unusual, sculptural furniture and objects, were often difficult to find and prohibitively expensive when I did find them.
HOBT is my answer to that: thoughtfully sourcing distinctive vintage furniture and objects and offering them at prices that make remarkable design more attainable.
