A spectacular vintage Italian oval wall mirror by Euromarchi S.r.L., featuring an elaborately sculpted gilt-gold frame with exuberant floral, foliate, and scrolling ornament.
The impressive oval frame is richly decorated throughout with dimensional botanical motifs, flowers, scrolling foliage, beaded detailing, textured lattice sections, and elaborate sculptural flourishes at the crest and base. The warm antiqued-gold finish gives the mirror exceptional depth and presence.
The reverse retains its original Euromarchi S.r.L. label, identifying the piece as Made in Italy and describing it as a hand-painted reproduction based on an original model carved by Tuscan master sculptors. A current Chairish Euromarchi example likewise identifies the maker as Euromarchi s.r.l. of Bagni di Lucca, Tuscany, and describes the company’s pieces as reproductions modeled from hand-carved Tuscan originals.
At approximately 48 inches tall, this is a substantial statement mirror with an elegant vertical silhouette. Its elaborate Italian styling makes it particularly well suited to Italian Florentine, Rococo Revival, Hollywood Regency, European traditional, maximalist, or eclectic interiors.
