Don't mess with the Queen of Hearts! Especially when she is serving your favorite brew. This whimsical pair of novelty beer steins with a playing card motif promises to add a bit of kitschy charm to your at-home bar. They are designed in a lustreware style with a colorful relief design featuring the Queen on one side and the King on the other. No maker's mark though they were most likely made in Japan in the 1950's. Perfect for a 'stock-the-bar' party.
Good condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. There is some decoration loss as shown in photograph 9 though it appears to be a manufacturing flaw. There is an abrasion to the lustreware base on one stein as shown in photograph 10 that may also be a manufacturing flaw to the glaze.
Each stein measures 5.5" tall x 5" wide at the handle x 3.5" deep.
