Each gul … Read more Twelve great octagonal guls in the Turkmen tradition, set in four stately rows on a bright cornflower field. Each gul is quartered by a red cross and filled with hooked ram's-horn motifs, and the quarters rotate through brick red, midnight navy, camel, ivory and teal, so every gul reads differently from its neighbors. Between them, a small woven procession of deer, goats, roosters, horses and standing figures fills the open ground.

Colors and shades include: Cornflower, sky blue, midnight navy, brick red, camel, ivory, teal and charcoal.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan in Ghazni wool on a cotton foundation with natural dyes. Borderless, with a lively blue abrash moving through the field. A classic Turkmen carpet design, refreshed with a lighter, brighter ground that works easily in modern rooms. Fully secured sides and ends, washed and ready for in-home use.
