A beautiful detailed diminutive black basalt (pin) dish by Wedgwood, featuring a central terracotta medallion depicting a classical amphora, in the Neoclassical Revival design style, circa early-20th century, 1930s, England. Dish is black basalt stoneware with center medallion Greek amphora vase with male and female detail. Piece was produced during Wedgwood’s early 20th‑century Neoclassical revival era, reflecting the firm’s longstanding fascination with ancient Greek forms and Grand Tour aesthetics. The underside bears the impressed B.M.W. manufacturing code, together with Wedgwood and Made in England, circa early-20th century, 1930s.
