This item is a carved jade figurine styled after the Neolithic Hongshan culture (c. 4700–2900 BC) of northeastern China. These carvings often depict highly stylized, otherworldly beings frequently referred to by collectors and markets as "Sun Gods," deities, or mythical hybrid creatures. It carved from nephrite jade, often exhibiting a greenish-yellow or olive hue with natural variations, weathering patterns, or simulated calcification. The figure features characteristic exaggerated prominent eyes, oversized circular ear piercings (often meant to function as suspension holes for an amulet or pendant), and a distinct kneeling or squatting posture. Overall It is in very good vintage condition, hand-crafted with normal age wear.
