John Steven Wyandt (1946-2020) "Lamp Flower #8" from the "Detached Page Series;" mixed media (collage, acrylic and ink) on paper, signed and marked "No. 8" lower center. The original label is included. The work is hinged to its original mat board backing.
Born in Ohio, John Wyandt had a swimming accident at age 17 which left him paralyzed. He worked as an artist at WIMA Television in Lima, Ohio before moving to Johnson City, Tennessee where he worked in graphic art. He was given shows in East Tennessee and throughout the Southeast. He died in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2020.
