Gorgeous desert scene by award winning, self-taught artist Dr. Lucien C. Vannerson (American, 20th Century). This highly realistic 1962 Southwest desert landscape depicts the stunning and unique sand dunes of White Sands, New Mexico.

A doctor of chiropractic, Vannerson practiced in New Mexico, California and Arizona. He first became interested in painting in 1941 as relaxation from his professional duties.
