Handcrafted solid huali wood jewelry box decorated with intricate mother-of-pearl shell marquetry on the lid. The inlay artwork depicts two deer amid grass and mountain scenery, a beloved traditional Chinese symbol representing longevity, peace and good fortune.
The front features antique-style brass lock hardware accented with polished green stone cabochons on both sides. Warm variegated brown wood grain gives this box a rich aged look. The hinged compartment is ideal for storing necklaces, rings, earrings, stamps, seals and small keepsakes.
This decorative wooden box is a stunning Chinoiserie accent piece for vanity tables, dressers, desks and console tables. Perfect for lovers of Asian, oriental and eclectic home decor.
