Finished in weathered whitewash, this cerused oval wall mirror is distinguished by simple molded oval frame, reflecting the french provincial sensibility of of the french provincial period France design. The gentle wear across its surface was earned over real decades of use, not applied for effect, and it only adds to the piece's presence. Pieces of this age were made to outlast a single household, and each one carries the quiet imprint of the hands and years that came before. Choosing an antique is also a small, meaningful act of sustainability: it keeps a well-made object in circulation instead of adding a new one to a landfill.
