Finished in weathered antique white, this painted flared bowl planter is distinguished by flared conical form, distressed painted finish, reflecting the neoclassical sensibility of of the neoclassical period France design. Its patina has developed slowly and naturally over the years, the kind of depth that cannot be faked or hurried. A piece this age has already been loved by more than one household, and it is ready to be loved by another. Furnishing with antiques is a gentle form of good stewardship, letting well-built pieces continue their working life rather than ending up in a landfill.
