Finished in deep ebony black, this carved ebonized wall mirror is distinguished by simple molded black frame, gilt edge line, reflecting the victorian sensibility of of the victorian period France design. Its surface and joinery bear the honest, gradual wear of genuine age rather than a manufactured distress, evidence of a long working life already lived. Each mark and softened edge on a piece like this is part of its history rather than a flaw to be hidden. There is something quietly right about choosing a piece that has already proven its durability, instead of something manufactured for a short lifespan. It is well suited to an entry or hallway mirror. See less
