Finished in weathered pale grey, this painted oak bookcase cabinet is distinguished by open shelving, softly distressed grey finish, reflecting the french provincial sensibility of of the french provincial period France design. The gentle wear across its surface was earned over real decades of use, not applied for effect, and it only adds to the piece's presence. Furniture like this was built to be passed down, not replaced, and choosing it today continues that same intention. It is one of the better decisions you can make for the planet as well as your home, since furniture built this solidly rarely needs replacing. It is well suited to a study or living room bookcase.
