The weathered antique white surface highlights flared urn form, distressed painted finish, characteristic of France furniture making in the neoclassical tradition, of the neoclassical period. Its surface and joinery bear the honest, gradual wear of genuine age rather than a manufactured distress, evidence of a long working life already lived. A piece this age has already been loved by more than one household, and it is ready to be loved by another. There is something quietly right about choosing a piece that has already proven its durability, instead of something manufactured for a short lifespan. It is well suited to a garden or entry accent.
