The weathered whitewash surface highlights simple rectangular molded frame, characteristic of France furniture making in the french provincial tradition, of the french provincial period. The gentle wear across its surface was earned over real decades of use, not applied for effect, and it only adds to the piece's presence. A piece this age has already been loved by more than one household, and it is ready to be loved by another. Rather than buying something destined for a landfill in a few years, an antique like this rewards you with materials and joinery built to be repaired, not discarded.
