The weathered antique white surface highlights flared bowl form, distressed painted finish, characteristic of France furniture making in the neoclassical tradition, of the neoclassical period. The gentle wear across its surface was earned over real decades of use, not applied for effect, and it only adds to the piece's presence. Each mark and softened edge on a piece like this is part of its history rather than a flaw to be hidden. There is something quietly right about choosing a piece that has already proven its durability, instead of something manufactured for a short lifespan. It is well suited to a garden or entry accent.
