A fine and mellow antique Chinese gourd cricket cage with landscape scene, dating from the 18/19thc. The cage measures 5 1/4" tall with the cover.
This cricket cage was part of an old northern Ohio collection; the majority of them were purchased in China in the 1940s, when they lived there until they returned to the United States.
The cage is in very good condition with no damages, with the exception of minimal wear on surface.
