This vintage vase was handcrafted by local artisans using traditional methods passed down through generations. Its warm, glowing amber color, reminiscent of honey, resin, and aged terracotta; comes from natural clay and firing techniques unique to the region.

What makes this piece truly extraordinary is its original purpose. This vessel was not merely decorative; it was functional. Originally used as a pot to store fish preserved in oil, it later served as a fermentation vessel for traditional Indonesian ingredients. Decades of use have imbued the clay with a rich, darkened patina and subtle marks of a life well-lived. Today, it stands as a sculptural object, a conversation piece, and a tangible connection to Indonesian heritage. Display it alone or with dried botanicals, and let its story unfold.
