Salvaged from a noble palazzo, each door is comprised of three raised and shaped cartouches, each hand-painted with delicate rocaille scrollwork and romantic floral bouquets on a warm, moss-olive ground. The frames retain their original distressed finish in a soft, time-worn Verdigris green, with traces of the original white and gilt highlighting the carved moldings - a breathtaking testament to age, as seen in the close-up details.

The paint exhibits a beautiful craquelure, gentle chipping, and layered history that speaks to their authenticity. The original brass escutcheons remain in place. These are not reproductions - they are true architectural antiques with an evocative, romantic presence.
