the ensemble comprises a large dining table, the matching large sideboard/buffet, the smaller sideboard, and six coordinating dining chairs. The set's cohesive nature is documented in a historical de coene catalog, which explicitly lists the "salle à manger paul" with these furniture pieces and six chairs.

the use of richly grained walnut veneer is particularly characteristic. The large, mirrored veneer patterns on the fronts lend the furniture an exceptionally decorative effect. At the same time, the furniture's architecture remains clean and modern: rounded sides, stepped horizontal lines, and strong yet understated volumes are typical of high-quality belgian art deco production of the 1930s.

the large sideboard features a central glazed section and enclosed side storage compartments. The smaller secretary desk showcases particularly striking mirrored walnut veneer and a hinged front with internal drawers and shelves.

the table has the robust base with arched supports characteristic of the model and, like the chairs, belongs to the documented "paul" collection.
