An elegant French wall shelf in the Napoleon III style, made in the late 19th century.
This decorative piece consists of four superimposed shelves with delicately shaped edges, connected by a series of slender turned wooden uprights. Its highly graphic structure and warm mahogany-stained finish give it a light, almost architectural silhouette.
Two antique metal rings, positioned at the ends of the top shelf, allow the shelf to be hung on the wall. Its particularly shallow depth makes it easy to integrate into a living room, entryway, bedroom, or cabinet of curiosities.
It provides an elegant display for a collection of porcelain, small bronzes, glassware, antique books, or decorative objects.
