The Model 109 lounge chair was designed by Theo Ruth for Artifort in the 1950s, showcasing his distinctive approach to form, proportion, and comfort.
The generously upholstered seat and backrest are visually separated by an open space, giving the chair an airy, architectural character. Its deep, padded seat offers exceptional comfort, while the solid wooden legs add a refined sculptural element through their subtle widening and horizontal detailing beneath the seat.
A sophisticated example of mid-century Dutch design, the Model 109 combines sculptural simplicity, thoughtful craftsmanship, and comfort. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
