The front consists of three doors with carefully selected teak veneer, where the wood grain forms an important part of the design. Narrow solid wood edges frame the doors and run around the cabinet. Each door is fitted with its own lock and original key. The small brass hinges have been deliberately left visible, forming a refined contrast with the dark teak. The three keys have also been preserved. Behind the doors, the character of the furniture changes. The light interior forms a clear contrast with the warm exterior and is practically divided into three separate cabinet sections. On the left and right are spacious storage compartments with removable shelves. In the middle section, an original drawer is incorporated directly beneath the top. This is made of light wood and features the original black velvet lining with various compartments on the inside. A carefully crafted detail that is completely hidden from view when the doors are closed and speaks volumes about the quality with which the sideboard was made at the time. The cabinet stands on the original base with round, tapered legs, made of solid hardwood. The frame is set back slightly from the body and is supported by four slender, tapered legs. This ensures that a 180 cm wide piece of furniture remains visually light and clear of the floor. We have fully renovated the sideboard in our workshop. Old finishes have been removed and the wood restored where necessary. Subsequently, the furniture was re-treated with a high-quality matte furniture oil. The brass parts have been carefully polished, preserving the original details and character of the piece. Upon purchase, we include a bottle of maintenance oil and accompanying instructions to help you keep the furniture in optimal condition. Height 75 cm Width 180 cm Depth 46 cm See less
