Large blue octagonal medallions with hooked cruciform centers alternate with rust and sage star medallions, and the open ivory field between them is filled with woven camels, horses, deer, birds and little standing figures. A hooked-vine border frames the field.

Hand-knotted from hand-spun wool with a low, even pile on a cotton foundation. All colors are natural vegetable and mineral dyes, which give the soft tones and the light color shifts (abrash) you get from hand-dyed wool. The ivory ground keeps the blue, rust and green motifs bright and easy to place.

Colors: ivory, denim blue, rust, sage green, purple and brick red.
