Elegant custom bench by Lewis Mittman, Inc., New York, longtime manufacturers of fine custom furniture.
The bench features a handsome neoclassical-inspired mahogany frame with architectural legs accented by contrasting inlay or banding. Generously scaled upholstered seating is flanked by substantial cylindrical bolster arms, creating a distinctive silhouette reminiscent of a classical daybed.
Upholstered in a cream, black and brown leopard-pattern textile that gives the traditional frame a bold, sophisticated look. Decorative roundels accent the ends of the upholstered bolsters.
The original Lewis Mittman manufacturer’s label remains attached to the underside.
An unusual and highly decorative piece that works beautifully as a window bench, at the foot of a bed, in a dressing room, entry hall or living room.
